TEAM Companies Privacy Policy
Thank you for visiting teamqualify.com (our “Site”). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy sets forth the online information practices of TEAM Professional Services, Inc., TEAM Background, LLC and TPS Alert, LLC (hereafter referred to as the “TEAM Companies”) with respect to (i) the Personal Data we gather on our Site and dependent pages, products and applications (ii) the way we use Personal Data internally; and (iii) our policy regarding sharing your Personal Data with others. This policy addresses our privacy practices relating to visitors to and registered users of the Site (hereinafter “Users”).
“Client” means any person or entity (a) who or which engages or seeks to engage the services of any of the TEAM Companies or affiliates and (i) is bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Data confidential and use it only for the purposes for which it is disclosed, or (ii) has separately obtained consent from the User to collect, use, maintain, and/or disclose, as applicable, the Personal Data; (b) who or which provides information or content to be published or displayed on the Site, including contributions that are posted on and transmitted to other users of the Site; (c) who or which subscribes to or registers as an authorized user of the Site or newsletter, blog, or similar service offered by the TEAM Companies or any affiliate; or (d) who or which is the duly authorized employee, agent, or representative of a person or entity meeting the definition of “Client” as defined in subparts (a), (b), or (c).
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Personal Data” means any information that, by itself or in combination with other information, identifies or can reasonably be used to identify an individual, such as name, email address, IP address, telephone number, address, billing information or date of birth. Personal Data does not include information that is anonymized, or publicly-available information.
We are committed to safeguarding your information through our compliance with this Privacy Policy and in accordance with international legal standards, including the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and other applicable data protection laws and data protection codes of conduct. We have implemented the practices set out below:
Declaration of Consent

When you browse a TEAM Companies Site, you do so anonymously. TEAM Companies collect two types of information from and about Users of our Site: personally-identifiable information that Users choose to provide to us and non-personally identifiable information.
Personally-identifiable information may be collected in a variety of ways, included but not limited to, when Users visit or register to use our Site, when a Client subscribes to our services after having separately obtained your consent, when you provide information by which you may be personally identified, such name, postal address, email address, telephone number or other similarly personal information you provide by filling in forms on our Site or by publishing or displaying this type of information on public areas of the Site. TEAM Companies may collect and store the information you choose to provide us in order to send you information about TEAM Companies or in connection with other activities, services, features or resources. Users can always refuse to supply personally-identifiable information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site-related activities.
We may collect non-personally identifiable information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personally identifiable information may include the date and duration of the User’s visit, the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about the User’s means of connecting to our Site, such as operating system and the Internet service provider utilized, and other similar information.
How we use your personal information
TEAM Companies collects personal information for a variety of purposes. TEAM Companies will only use the personal information you provide in the way specified at the time it is collected unless you otherwise consent. We may collect data for the following purposes:
- Contact you about the Site
- Notify you about important changes to the Site
- To provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us
- To carry out our obligations and to enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection
- Evaluate products or services we could offer to you

- Compare and otherwise use data entered by users for any purpose including consulting, research and marketing
- Customize any advertising and content you see on the Site
- Provide specific information to you from TEAM Companies

- Establish and manage Client accounts
- Improve customer service
- Send periodic emails such as to respond to User inquiries or questions, company news, updates, related service information, etc. User may unsubscribe and/or update contact information for receiving future emails by following the instructions at the bottom of each email
- Comply with applicable legal requirements and our policies
TEAM Companies may collect personal information when you submit an employment application at which point, this information will only be used in connection with TEAM Companies recruiting efforts in response to your inquiries and provide newsletters and other information that you may have requested.
If you authorize a Client of any of the TEAM Companies or any other third party to collect and disclose information about you, including Personal Data, any such information received by the TEAM Companies will be used only to fulfill the purpose for which it has been provided. By way of example, TEAM Companies may be requested to:
- Utilize personal information provided in connection with a background screen requested by a TEAM Background, LLC Client to conduct a background screen for the Client and to create a report. Such report will only be provided after the Client has given sufficient certification that the Client has a legally permissible purpose for ordering the background screen and obtained your consent as required by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act and any other applicable law.
- Clients of TPS Alert, LLC may require personal information to be submitted for review to determine compliance with Client requirements.
- For the purposes of scheduling and completing Client required or federally required drug testing, alcohol testing or employment related physicals.
Information sharing and disclosure
TEAM Companies does not sell, trade, or rent User’s personally identifiable information to others. We may disclose aggregated information about our Users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction. We may disclose personal information, including Personal Data, that we collect or that you provide as described in this Privacy Policy:
- To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
- To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Data confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
- To Clients and third parties if you have consented to these disclosures in connection with a request that the TEAM Companies perform a background screen, drug/alcohol/physical test or compliance management.
- To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it or for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information or as described in this Privacy Policy.
- With your consent.
We may share data collected with those who need access to the data to perform work requested by our Clients for the aforementioned purposes. TEAM Companies prohibits these third parties from using the information shared for any purpose other than what has been explicitly stated. TEAM Companies requires any third party to maintain reasonable protection on the confidentiality of your information in accordance with data agreements, federal law and industry standards.
TEAM Companies may also disclose your information for the following purposes: (i) situations involving an emergency or threat to the physical safety or security of any persons including to prevent actual or suspected illegal activities or fraud; (ii) response to legally required situations involving subpoenas, court orders or other legal processes; (iii) to protect TEAM Companies, our Clients or the public; or (iv) for the security or integrity of TEAM Companies, our services and/or products.
Personal information disclosure: United States or overseas
Data entered on any TEAM Companies website may be transferred to a server in the United States of America (USA) and stored there.
If you are a resident of the European Union (EU), you are advised that your data may be used by TEAM Companies outside the EU and the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the USA. Please note that in countries outside the country in which you live, and in particular outside the EU/EEA, a different standard of data protection may apply than the standard that you are used to in your own country. By submitting any data on our Site, you acknowledge and consent that data may be transferred across international borders, including to countries outside the EU/EEA.
Personal information submitted for the purpose of a background investigation may be transmitted outside the USA to complete the background investigation on behalf of TEAM Companies Clients. All data will be transmitted and stored in a secure manner in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browsers place cookies on their hard drives for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert them when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.
Cookies can be used (i) to provide TEAM Companies with the capability to personalize information, (ii) to help us recognize you as a previous visitor and remember any preferences that may have been set when you previously visited our Site, (iii) to associate individual customers with their information profiles (such as “remembering” your user ID when you log in) and (iv) to measure and research the effectiveness of our Site’s features and offerings.
Security
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your Personal Data, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.

TEAM Companies has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will post a prominent notice on our website to notify you of any significant changes to our privacy policy and indicate at the top of the notice when it was most recently updated. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the Personal Data we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
Children under 16
We do not knowingly or intentionally collect Personal Data from children under age 16. If you are under the age of 16, please do not submit any Personal Data to us, and rely on a parent or guardian to assist you.
GDPR rights
If you are an EU resident or a User whose personal information is otherwise subject to the GDPR, the data protection rights available to you are summarized as follows:
Right to access
You have the right to confirm whether we process your Personal Data and, where we do, access to the Personal Data, together with certain additional information, including details regarding the purposes of the processing, the categories of Personal Data concerned, and the recipients of the Personal Data. Provided the rights and freedoms of others are not affected, we will supply to you a copy of your Personal Data. The first copy will be provided free of charge.
